1973 911T converted to a 930 turbo look by the original owner- Help!

I just bought this 73 that I would like to return it to looking like a 73 except with the wide fenders. I need some advice on the best way to approach this. I've read about welding the lamp nacelles to the 930 fenders? I'd like to keep it all steel. There is also the issue of the hood latch area being altered. Any thoughts would help and also any recommendations of a body shop in the northeast.

    Thanks,

T.S. mounts, t.s. housings and lenses, nose panel, hood + latches, RSR bumper or modded steel + trim + paint + $$$

tear the front end down, mount the early hood, line it up to the cowl, use it to place the early nose panel and latch, fit fenders to make sure all is aligned, weld nose panel in, add t.s. mounts, bumper, body, paint, lights.

This of course is a very simplified set of directions

Wow, there is an exact car local to me in the need of the same conversion....
My question would be what is your budget? If it is a do it to perfection; I would find the right shop regardless of location. Many would offer that opinion. If you were stuck on the east coast, I would call Auto Associates in Conn. or Rick Cabel in Vermont.

As for a budget, I'm not sure. I buy and sell a lot of 911's but I would like to build one to keep and I've always wanted a 73 or earlier. That said, I want the work done right. I'm going for a mix of RSR / Singer / my own style look for the car. I like the wide fenders, wide 15" Fuch's, 964 decklids, fuel filler coming through the hood, etc.
I talked with Scott from RS-Werks who had some good ideas. I hear that he does good work? Any feedback is welcome

Scott at RS-Werks and his body man, Sammy are top notch. They seem to specialize in hot-rod, one-off type projects, so they should be a good match for what you want to do.

I'd encourage you to think through clearly what your vision and goals are for the car. For anyone to make you happy at the end, you need to clearly communicate your vision so the project ends up where you want it.

Also, with any of these older cars, be prepared for $urprise$. Under that nice paint, filler and schutz lurks all sorts of issues. The project will take longer and be more expensive than you think it will be. Don't ask me how I know...

    Good luck.

^^^that's some spot on advice ^^^^^ I would only offer that I would try to stay as close to the period (73?) as possible if you are converting back to a long-hood...seats, interior etc.....love those flares ...good luck with the build, sounds very cool
