    Steel Wheel Color Code

Hi. I'm looking for help in determining what the correct color code is for my original 6J/15 painted steel wheels. These were delivered on my 1972 911T Targa (built 5/72).

I would like to refinish the wheels and want to make sure I get the color and finish correct.

    Many thanks for any help.

I understand that Wurth's wheel silver or silver wheel is also a match. Maybe someone who has used it can comment.

Porsche silver code is 924 or 925. My paint shop (selling Dupont paints) knew only one of these codes, I forgot which one. It was perfect match. I think Porsche used the sme color at least up to type 993. Perhaps on later cars as well.
Alternatively, you can use Standox straight 590 silver toner if you have access to it.

Hi Martin - Thank you for your input. Looks like I have a few options. Much appreciated.
