    Help in replacing two hoses

Hi all. While I'm at it in the restoration of my 1972 911, I am replacing all the fuel and oil hoses, including breather and vent hoses. I am having a tiny problem with the two hoses that come from/go to the charcoal canister in the trunk. These are numbers 17 and 18 in the attached diagram. The problem is tha I can't figure out how to get to the ends where they connect to the steel lines. I see they disappear into the bowels of the chassis after going through the bulkhead, but I don't know where the connection poin is. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Take out the pedal board, you'll see them, they connect at the front of the tunnel.

These connect inside the car? That's surprising. I have the pedal board and pedal cluster out of the car but don't remember seeing them there. Can you reconfirm that, please? The car is 20 miles from me right now, so I can't look. Would it be possible for anyone to shoot a picture?

One should never question Ed . Seriously, he has provided the correct answer as he always does...these hoses connect where and to what he describes.

Hahaha. I would never question Ed. I was just so surprised that any sort of fuel-related lines were run into the cockpit.

Well, I went out to see the car and do the work today and, of course, Ed was completely right. THANK YOU ED!!! I found the hoses connected to the hard lines exactly where you said they would be. I'm so happy Imwas able to do this. One of the original hoses was literally split open, which explains why my suits smelled so, um, "aromatic" when I got to the office!

Now if someone can help me find part number 4 in the diagram (the strp that holds the vent tank to the inner fender), I will be all done... Anyone? . Thanks again for the outstanding advice and information!
