    John,
If you are referring to open ended lugs, I would highly recommend titanium. Just added to my car. The most excellent source is Jim Tidwell. He makes them in about 3 different finishes at a very reasonable price. He is a most stand up guy too. He is known on Pelican as "JimmyT" but is most reachable via email...jtidwell@speakeasy.net
They are fabulous looking, super strong, yet about 1/4 the weight of steel. Only drawback, I've heard some rules require steel to track the car.
If you are looking for just one set of steel, I'll send you my set, brand new, for free if you pay shipping. Hope this helps.

Im sticking with steel for now, though I will eventually pony up for the TI. Wouldn't increased rotating mass = more speed however? just saying

If you mean 73' RSR lug nuts...they are steel....same as a street car. Ti nuts were never used....hell, I never saw ti lug nuts! 1975 RSR center loc hubs-wheels are Aluminum nuts (big ems).

I don't have the expertise to know about ti in the old days...probably wouldn't have made my '67 VW van any quicker anyways! I do know Jimmy's work is excellent...

how much weight are you saving?? I will go to extremes to save weight on my track car but I am guessing this would save
under a pound if you add up all four corners.

Your question begged me to really check it out...so, I now see I was exaggerating with a 1/4 weight estimate and that you were about dead on. It's more like 1/2. Sorry.
    Per my wife's baking scale:
Steel lug: 1.16 oz each - or 20 nuts at 1.4lbs
Ti: .6 oz each - or 20 nuts at .75lbs
Saving about 3/4 of a pound in the end.
C.D.I. factor does it for me tho!
