    Question 70 911E targa suspension

How do I find out what suspension the car came with? hydropnuematic boge, koni, etc? The shocks on the car now do not match each other and I can't make out what they are cause they are covered in heavy grime and are unusable. I know its not original but I want to get the turbo tie rod kit from pelican parts to make the cars steering better since the car will be used frequently. Just wondering what suspension matches with this kit without any modification.

Pat, the Turbo Tie Rod Kit won't have any affect on what suspension you use. The rear shocks are easy, do you know what front struts are on the car now? Generally Black is Boge, Red/Orange is Koni and Green is Bilstein. No telling what's been changed on the car over the years and it's not unusual for someone to have painted Boge struts red to look like Koni's. If you're going to replace the complete strut housing (not usually necessary as you normally just replace the insert) then you'll have some additional options.

Ok, sounds like original Koni housings which will take the Koni 86-1647:

Bilstein won't make an insert for the Koni strut and although KYB does, you don't want to go there

On the rears you can do pretty much whatever you want but if you want to match the Koni fronts you'll want to use the Koni 80-2088:
