    Ate brake calipers

    I have many, many 1973 and earlier brake calipers for 911/912/356 and 914. Is there anyone that can give me information on how to tell what they are by the cast numbers on them or any other information on how to tell what they are. Would be very much appreciated.     Casting numbers mean nothing that I can determine; probably just mold numbers.
    To ID the calipers you need to look at the mount hole spacing, the piston diameter and the brake line inlet location. The presence of spaces for vented rotors is yet another indicator.
