    value inquiry, Blaupunkt Frankfurt, x-code

I have a x-code Frankfurt, which if my facts are correct was manufactured from '66 to '67. I bought it for my '66. But my dash has been cut and it has no speaker. I bought the radio untested. I've never tested it. I'm leaning toward a radio delete plate, although that may look on on a wood dash. Not fishing for offers. Just thoughts on value. Thanks.

You can use a period blanking plate to cover the hole in the dash... ask me how I know! As they are period accessories, they look just fine. They sometimes come up on e-Bay for around $150. I can send you some photos if you PM me.
These radios (if complete and working) fetch around $350 - $450. Yours looks pretty clean, though I am not sure the knobs are correct for Porsche: I am sure someone else will chime in... but they are different to the ones on my car...
    1966 911 Coupe - Slate Grey - 304598 - still in restoration!

That radio is a European version and appears to have come from a MBZ
