    does this vin look 'funny'

a customer contacted me about this car. he's considering a purchase and wanted some input from me. I'm no expert but a few things seemed off to me.

any opinions about this car? here are a few pics. the vin translates as a 1968 S. I don't have any more info right now than what you see in the pics. here are my thoughts so far:

    - narrow body trim

    - inconsistent vin area at gas tank

    any input much appreciated. Don.

If you remove the lower dash pad I think the VIN is visible about center.

VIN area looks suspect. Can you pull the lower dash pad to compare nos. Also, what are the engine nos.?

There was a thread re this car VIN 11801169, but appears to be deleted. Some of the other numbers provided there, such as engine and transmission were off too.
