Expensive seeing as it's all reproduction... but it looks nice...

Is the color of the bag correct? I´ve only seen reference pics of different kits, non in real life. But as I remembered it from the pics the bag seemed to be almost dark grey and this one seems to be light grey.

    Regards
    Nick

I think travel kits are cool, but over rated at these prices. Its just a silly bag with some common spare parts, looks like all of the parts included are modern production. Victor Reinz crappy gaskets. I see they reprinted the Porsche part number decal, of course they could have re-produced the right decal not the later burgundy one that would not be on a original kit.

I could make this myself for much less, and could probably set it up with parts that you would actually need on a journey. My travel kit is usually a cardboard box full of stuff and I am not afraid to drive thousands of miles no matter how rare the car is.

I have a complete real 70/71 one. I recall the burgundy decal was on, but with the plastic cover, not on the bag.
Interior is light grey, I dont know if they came light blue.

Yes, expensive&overrated maybe but the real deal is hard to get. Its now more a collector object as you destroy its value once you would use it.,,

My 911 came to me (back in 1997) with a travel kit bag masquerading as its toolkit. If that was an original 1965 bag it was a light gray-green.

If you wish, you can buy a reproduction bag from Autos International. The reproduction bags have slightly lighter buckles. The early hardcopy parts manuals for 911s list the contents. Here's the list for a really early car with Solex carburetors and center-lubricated camshafts:
