    Recaro Idealsitz S

    hi friends,

    does anyone know when exactly these seats where available???

    That is the 72/73 folder so early 70's. Difficult to put an exact dat to them.

    no .... one in GB and the other in germany..... but they are in berlin now for a special project hahahhah

    They were available for the 1973 model year as the precursor to the very familiar "high-back" sport seat introduced in 1974 and carried through 1980 when the "infinity knob" seats were introduced.

    It's just my opinion, but the Recaro Ideal S seats were the most comfortable and versatile seats ever produced by Recaro.

    I've not seen many for sale, but I tend to buy all I can find ... in fact, I need a pair of recliners for a seat that I bought which had a recliner that looked good but turned out to be trash.

    Somebody in germany was very lucky last monday. There were two immaculate leather covered Idealsitz s sold for 500 euros (the pair) - I've been too late.

    BTW if you look in the lower right coner of the ad it says 4 1972 (thats end of february).
    Over Christmas I can check when the first time they were mentioned in Auto Motor Sport.
    +1 to marco - the most comfy recaro of that period
    If somebody happens to have one in blue color vinyl/corduroy - I'm interested.
