Thread: pair of new SWB Fenders

    pair of new SWB Fenders

Please check out the photos. Ive had these for many years and the fenders had the bucket drains and some of the reinforcement behind horn grills removed for some reason before I bought them. The pieces were obviously carefully removed, and come with the fenders. I believe they can easily be repaired.

Please check out my photo bucket photos 205 to 219 for complete pictures. Prefer pick up to delivery, but anything is possible i suppose.

If GT3DE and Early911zoo are not interested, can I be 3rd in line? I see you prefer pickup so I assume shipping is extra?

shipping is really tuff, and always seems to end up in disappointment with fenders. I will be happy to help, shipping charges will be actual cost. if somebody has a shipper account I will do my best to package well, but carrier must be responsible for any damages. Really prefer pickup. I can possibly meet in Nashville, St. Louis, Louisville...

In light of seller's shipping worries, I am out. Too far for me to pick up.
    Thanks anyway.

What year? The inner lip on the wheel well thru 67 is larger than 68 inner lip.

    Thanks,

Those appear to be replacement fenders. '68 fenders were modified from '65-'67 fenders, and had several changes: headlight bucket had 4 tabs for mounting the US headlights; fender lip was tapered to allow for 5.5j x 15 wheels; and 2 holes drilled behind the turn signal for '68 side reflectors. the VERY early fenders, also had 4 screws to mount the horn grill (rather than 2). after '68, the fenders changed again, with modified turn signal buckets and no reflector holes.

beginning in '68, the replacement fenders became 'generic.' if you want to apply to a '68 car, you had to drill the 2 holes for the reflector. otherwise, the pre-'68 headlight (without needing the tabs in the bucket) will still fit into the fender with the tabs, and the tapered lip allowed the use of wheels wider than the 4.5j x 15 that were stock on the '65-'67 cars.

i am using a pair of these in my '68 project.
