correct early 911 rear fog light

I have seen a 1964 911 with the Hella foglight of a 356 like below style

However, for 91'1 I come across this one with the drop being correct for 65-67.

Till when were the 356 style light mounted and as of when were the new ones delivered?

There's no record of rear fog lights in the 356C or September 1965 911/912 (1966 model year) options lists. Of course, anybody could buy a rear fog light and mount it on his car. Maybe people even had the factory mount them.

I suspect that the only criterion for correct is "period correct."
