    original cloth tape on strut

    in the middle of putting the brake and fuel lines back together on my 71 T Targa and I noticed a loop of cloth tape around the driver's side strut. I peeled it off and it is almost baby blue in color and a little over a quarter inch wide. As the struts in my car could be the originals, I am guessing that this may have been an assembly line denotation to the assembler.? Anybody else find anything similar on their 71.? Any idea what the baby blue strut was (boge or koni).? Thx

    I have a 1970 T Coupe that has the blue cloth tape on both struts. Mine are Boge.

    Original Boge struts on my 73, car was made 04/1973, has a cloth tape on both front struts.
