Thread: 1965 911- what is Factory correct seat face pattern/finish?

    Thanks, Jim. "John's 4/21/65" has 6, that's why I was asking. I think a late April car with 6 make it possible that the vin, number goes beyond 300567. I was wondering what vin. "356rider's" car is with 5 pleats.

    1965 911 #301111, Red Book Vol 1 "Cover Car," owned 54 years.
    1967 911 #307347, bare-bones, some road wear, a little surface rust, and a few dents..., owned 14 years.
    1970 914/6GT, (Sold - ran the last three Rennsports)owned 30 years.

    Here is a portion of the worksheet compiled by member pss (last line is the seat pleat). This was taken from pg 68 of thread https://www.early911sregistry.org/fo...ghlight=Pleats . I like it because it shows the trends so you don't have to rely on a single data point. Looks to me like the change was somewhere around 1000+/- cars into production. Mine is 1318.
