    interior colors for silver car

For the 70-71 silver 911 s, what were the available interior colors? I seem to only find black in photos. And if there were other colors, did it include the waffle vinyl on the dash and doors? Or did that stay black regardless of carpet and seat color?

I'm having a hard time finding this information and any help would be greatly appreciated. Especially photos!

My 1970 S was silver with red leather. Carpet was the traditional S grey and the dash vinyl was black basket-weave. Doors were smooth red leather.

Red vinyl was also available for the seats and basket-weave doors.

Standard available was Black, Brown or Beige.
Unlike the 2.4l models, On 2.2l dash texture in basket-wave was always black, regardless which standard colour chosen. However, carpets and door inlays were specific for each of the three colours.
You could also choose a Red, Green or Blue interior (including Sports seats) at optional costs but hardly seen on 2.2L.
I recall seeing a 2.2L red interior and it a black texture on lower dash.

Wow, great reply! Lots of info. This paint chart makes it look as though no cars were painted black between 70 & 71? Could that be right? Thanks for the great pics!

Above Charts 70&71 show the Standard Colors and Standard Interior colors, as shown also in the item below (Dealer upholstery&color folder):

Black was however then an optional Special Color, see below:
