There is one big mistake in the comments: Schenk produced not two but THREE of these transporters for Porsche. The first one had the license plate S-YZ 32 and was some kind of a prototype, it had some big differences to both the others, S-C9003 and S-M2187, which is with Brumos Buster today. S-C 9003 is part of the Gulf-RofGo collection, was restored after bought from Gunnarracing. The first one, the real Gulf in 1970/71, was sold to BMW in 1972, was used in The IMSA races and later by Marko in the early 80ies, then disappeared, certainly it was scrapped because of heavy rust.

The two later transporters were purchased by Kerry Morse and brought to the USA during the early-'90's "fire sale" of the racing department's spares. He never had the time (or the inclination) to restore their rusted-out hulks and eventually sold one to Sutterfield (now at Brumos) and a decade later the other to KJ (now at ROFGO). I saw the first one in '75 when it brought Stuckie's CSL to Laguna. This was the Gulf bus that rusted to death in Austria. My Kodachromes (all rights reserved).

But there is one mystery about S-C 9003, today the RofGo Gulf. Despite it's body never was painted in Gulf colors it's cargo area was painted blue and orange after 1974, long after the Gulf area and after it's body was painted in the Silver Martini-livery. Even in the videos at gunnarracing or at http://www.whfltd.co.uk/restoration.html during it's restoration you can see the blue and orange loading space???
