Hella 128 fog lights on 65 and 66 cars

When I purchased my october 65 build car a few years ago it did not have hella fog lights fitted. But it does have a fog light switch over the radio.

So to my question: does the fog light switch indicate my car came from the factory fitted with hella 128's or were all cars appointed with the switch and the fogs were optional or dealer installed?

    Thanks in advance!

My understanding is all 65/66 911's came with fog lamps as standard equipment.

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.

Ditto that. They should also have a webasto heater.

good suggestion Dan, but I am unsure where the relay is located. A descriptive location and photograph would be very helpful.

Looking at the fuse box look towards the area under the hood hinge, the relay will be bolted to the trunk floor and is yellow.

Yes, found the relay. So, having the relay is confirmation that the car should have fog lights?

Would it not be listed on a COA if it were standard then? Our COA on our '65 912 doesn't list fog lights?

The COA lists a Webasto heater and Phoenix tires as options. No mention of fog lights on the COA.
