if you use the correct flywheel + clutch package you can. Any reason you want to use a 915?

    yes, because i have a 915 trans and not a 901 hahahha

i bought a restauration project and i got the 915 trans with it... i was lucky to find a 68 engine that is less than 500 numbers away from my original one ... so i was wondering if i could put both together

but thanks for your answer .... i found a lot of 901 trans with bigger engine conversions but none in the other sense

if you post a picture of your flywheel we can tell if you have a 901 or 915 flywheel. Most likely it's a 901 flywheel but may be you are lucky and the PO used a 915 too .. An easy tell between a 901 and 915 flywheel is whether the starter ring is fixed or bolted.

You could also consider to swap your 915 for a 901 + money. I would do such a swap w/ you if you were close.

That most likely is a Mag 915 w/ elec speedo.

Is your speedo electronic? If mechanical make sure you will need a tranny for mech speedo or get a later speedo.
