    Looking for an early style straight 65/66 kneeguard. Can buy or trade for very nice 67/68 kneeguard.

    I have 1 left. I would like to know differences also?? Thought all SWB cars were the same?

    The very early pads do not have the extended "ears" that follow the dash up the side. They are more a straight-across affair. Sorry for the worst pic ever, but you can see the difference in the ends here:

    The "straight across style" was MY65 (including the 232 cars) only. It changed to the later style with the MY66 cars (i.e.; in mid 1965).

    I wanted also say: search for porsche painted dash in google images and you get a lot of straight kneeboards . .
