Early 1970's genuine Recaro sports seat - driver's side (left hand)

I have a genuine Driver's side (left side) rare Recaro sports seat as fitted to the 1972/73 Carrera RS and possibly the late 60's and early 70's 911S as well. This seat has been examined and ratified by the top classic Porsche restorer in South Africa. The seat is in very good original condition. It does not have rails, but these are readily available from this site http://www.autoatlanta.com/Porsche-R...N-R869416.html for a price of around $350USD

I have seen these seats with rails listed at up to $4000USD on this site. Seeing as mine does not have rails, I am willing to accept $3500 but am definitely open to reasonable offers. My direct email is rwellman@iafrica.com. Buyer covers shipping and insurance.

Nice seat. As a side note to those who read this, I would not recommend anyone buy anything from Auto Atlanta unless they are standing at the parts counter and being handed the parts. You have been warned. GLWS.

Thank you for your kind comments Merbesfield. Please be aware that I am not involved or connected to Auto Atlanta in any way, shape or form, but merely included the link to their seat rails as I had found it online. I have since seen that various rails are available on the 911 parts for sale forum as well.

IMHO the rails shown in the link will not do for these seats. I'm looking for two sets of seat rails if anyone has them. My seats are the same as these ones.

    Thanks,

    Dave

I knew that, I was just trying to help others. I am sure someone has the parts needed. Nice seat BTW.

    I AGREE WITH MERBESFIELD:

AUTO-ATLANTA'S GEORGE HUSSEY IS A CROOKED MAIL-ORDER PARTS DEALER. I'VE LEARNED OF HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN RIPPED-OFF (or, stolen from) WHEN THEY"VE MAIL-ORDERED PARTS FROM AUTO-ATLANTA ! ! !

Y'ALL HAVE NOW BEEN WARNED AGAIN !
