Is it Worth Restoring this Steering Wheel?

I have an 805.11 steering wheel that has a couple of large cracks in it. The worst one (shown here) is pretty wide and goes down into the rubber below the leather. The rubber is also cracked.

I've heard there are paste type fillers for leather. Any thoughts about using such a filler?

A second issue is that the 805.11 wheels do not have the relief on the back of the hub for the turn cancel ring like the 805.10 wheels do. I'm told "they will work" but am not sure how well. I suppose I could find a machine shop to cut a relief into the hub but that is more money (I no longer have access to a lathe).

So, all in all, I am wondering if it is worthwhile to try and restore the wheel (???).

The leather is done. You have a 914 wheel that can be made to work on a 911 but is not a perfect fit, just ok fit. I would set that wheel aside and buy a 914 wheel that ends in 10 instead of 11. Core wheels sell for $100-200, nice ones for 200-500.
