1967 SWT 911 S Targa VIN Research

I own the 1967 911 S SWT with 500 159 S, which is right new in CA restoration.

Can somebody find out or knows it already: How many 911 S SWT are produced before this VIN, because the VIN sequence starts with 500 001 but most likely will have all models (e.g. also T, L) included.

Car was a GER delivery in 01/67 and found it's way "once" to the US shores, any information on that too.

No T and L in 67. Just two models, the normal and the S.

According to The Porsche Book by Jürgen Barth and Gustav Büsing, Porsche built a total of 718 911 Targas in 1967. 235 were of the regular 911 variety and 483 were of the 911S variety, so just over two thirds [67.3%] were "S" cars.

Porsche also built 544 912 Targas in 1967.

I fear that the only way to get an absolutely accurate count of 911S vs. 911 before your car was made is to talk your way into the Porsche archives. Even then, if you count the "S" cars before 500159, there's the question of "What if some Targas with chassis numbers higher than 500159 actually emerged from the factory before 500159?"
