    SWB Temp Gauge Placement

I noticed this 1966 912 for sale on Pelican and the seller stated the the temp gauge was ordered with the car and is in the 1st opening. Is that accurate? I was under the impression it replaced the clock.

    Thx,

    Jim,

On an early 911 the outside temp gauge would indeed have replaced the clock.
It looks like the two outside items have been added at some time to the standard issue speedo/revcounter and combi gauge.
Perhaps the COA will tell you if you are interested in the car.
Maybe there is a pic showing the layout on Charlie White's site.

    .... here ya go ! ....
