What is the correct rear quarter trim for an early 911?

    First of all: best wishes!!

I am slightly confused: I am finishing the rebuild of my 911 and I just discovered that 1 of my trims has holes in them for stews and the other does not have these holes. Just wondering what original is for an early 911?

My 1970 911 has the trim with the screwholes. Just wondering whether the early SWB cars had screwless trims? If so, how were these trims attached?

    Thanks,

    Frank

if you are talking about the inside trim : first seen on the 67S (this has of course the j-mold attached to it ) while normal `67 did not have the trim that goes around the b-billar.

The brass quarter trim on the SWBs have studs tacked to the trim.
The LWB aluminum has the holes for the screws to go through.
Sorry, I don't have a 68 here to check since they are a change over year.

    Harvey,

How are the studs secured from behind?
