    front bumper seal installation

As hard as I try...difficulty in installing a new front bumper seal. 1971 911 Targa. the bumper is off and I can see how it is supposed to be installed...I can affix the center section with the lip underneath...but...cannot get the top front bead in under the lip of the front facia....what is the trick? I have tried to heat the rubber with a blow dryer...but no luck. No wonder the Germans lost WWII. suppose they had the same problems with the Tigers.

My recent experience revealed that most aftermarket seals don't have quite the correct dimensions in this area. The only one I found correct was from International Mercantile. Yes, it comes in 3 pieces, but that's easy to deal with, and, it fits. Hope that helps.
