    FS: @EM - 1972 Porsche 911T MFI Engine

I just saw this, it might be good for somebody here.

Up for sale is my nice 1972 911T engine, which experts have told me was recently rebuilt. I bought the engine from a 356 Registry member a couple of years ago and used it as a temporary while my car’s original engine was being rebuilt. I put somewhere around 500 miles on it. While still in the car, I had a leakdown test done and all six cylinders had extremely positive results 98% for five and 97% for one). At the same time, the MFI was set up by a highly competent Porsche-only mechanic, with the intake manifolds set up with the proper tools (protractors, etc). The engine has Carrera chain tensioners, turbo valve covers, a new alternator and new fan, very recent plug wires, etc. This engine runs really well and has great power. Please let me know if you are interested and/or if I can answer any questions. I paid over $4000 for it and put money into upgrading it and to have it set up. I would sell it for $3100 today. Thanks!

be wary of this one. Looks a bit fishy and remarkably like a post from several years ago off Pelican. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...fi-engine.html

Very Interesting catch Gearby, even smells fishy. The original poster on the Pelican forum indicated the engine was sold. So, unless a subsequent purchaser is using the same copy and paste ad it does appear odd?

I might have to pick up some popcorn for this one, stay tuned.

    Thank you
