FS: Twin Heuer Monte Carlo Timers, Outstanding Condition

Hi all, a few more Heuers offered for sale here! Up for grabs is a twin Monte Carlo set in outstanding condition - these timepieces have an interesting history! They were originally issued to the British MOD and have both seen active service in Harrier jump jets - the military markings on these pieces make for a rather more interesting looking timepiece than the standard civvie ones - these are a matched set with the same identification code (6B/520 9604), meaning that they both came from the same base or squadron. This is followed by the British MOD arrow, then by the watches unique 4 digit serial number and finally with the marking H.T.L 1/2/3, which is present on all 2 button military spec Monte Carlo's.

The watch with the serial number 3826 is the standard fixed-bezel military version, however the watch marked 2191 is unique in the fact that it has the rotating bezel, rather than the fixed bezel usually found on military Monte Carlo's - the only one Ive ever seen like it. These watches were routinely de-comissioned by the MOD and sold to the public, so they were commonly found in rally cars of the 70's and 80's

The movements have been fully serviced, all worn parts replaced, all old oil removed and new oil applied and are working as new. The cases and crystals are in mint condition, unmarked, as is the backplate. The dials and hands are in good condition, they have a few marks as is to be expected from their time in the military. The backplate is an excellent reproduction item, an exact match for an original. Supplied with the watches is all the hardware required to mount them, painted to match the backplate. A nice alternative to the Mastertime and Monte Carlo setup, with a nicer price to match!

Price £1800 posted worldwide - includes full insurance and professional packaging by a company who often deal in the postage of high value goods.
