    wevo engine mounts ALL 4

I got my 71 911 crossmember fitted with wevo mounts and since it is going back to more street duty I chose the black pillows. Since they are expensive I got just the 2 front mounts figuring I could always add the rears. I like the tighter shifting and solid feel but they were louder than the stockers with some low frequency droning,I figured that came with the territory and thought about switching them out for street and just keeping them for track. On a whim and a pelican gift certificate I got the other set of rear mounts with the black pillows to install with my hot rod motor after i build it. I installed the other two on the rear and WOW huge difference in feel and plenty quiet for me. the droning gave way to a pleasant mechanical oneness. If you are considering these GET ALL 4!!!

Thanks for the feedback. I've got 4 replacement black pillows to replace the blue in my street car (the blues will go into my track car), sounds like I'll notice a difference.

Thanks for the feedback. I just ordered four Wevo mounts with the black pillows from Pelican last week - looking forward to trying them out.

    Hi Steve,

I used the WEVO Black Pillows in the transmission cross member mount and the factory Club Sport mounts (stiffer than stock, but still rubber) for the rear engine mount. The shifting improved, but I also have the transmission noise filtering into the passenger compartment. Especially at idle speed.

Do you think the WEVO Black Pillows in the rear engine mount will add more shifter improvement with less noise than transmission noise than the Club Sport mounts?

    Thanks,

I put the Blue mounts in the trans beam and on the rear engine mount (also Stromski sp? shift coupler) in my 71 Targa about 5 yrs ago, no complaints on noise, incredible feel on shifter. I also added a 911 trans beam and an early solid 912 rear engine mount bar to my 66 912 coupe using the black pads based on less weight of the 616 motor, great improvement and probably lost 40+ lbs from the rear. The folks at Wevo are GREAT!

    Regards
