Thread: New way to visualize seats in your car.

New way to visualize seats in your car.

My friend and owner of Vintage Seats, Michael Eberhardt has asked me a few times to help his customers visualize seats in their cars by using photoshop. It was always a very inelegant solution to the problem, and never looked realistic. I always wanted to do a proper job that would allow him to give his customers a tailored experience on par with the way he builds his seats, so I decided to build him a tool from scratch. I flew down to Atlanta and spent a few days at his shop so that he can now offer a unique service to his customers. We photographed every seat he offers in his Vintage Seats car and now by simply requesting it a customer can see any seat or combination of seats in their actual native environment. Not all fabrics and materials are available as the permutations would have been prohibitive, but every style of seat and many fabrics can be visualized.

I had a lot of fun doing this, and I hope it helps the community at large as they consider buying new seats. As I said, these are just some of the many combinations he can now create and email you.

Thanks. Although it won't be a totally accurate reproduction of your color, Mike will also be able to add your exterior color to the picture so you can better imagine how everything will look.

For example, here's polo red with black and white houndstooth 'R' Seats:

Size: 81.8 KB

Or Irish Green with Black/Green Houndstooth:

    Name: VS8.jpg

Size: 77.4 KB

    Tangerine with two 'R2' Seats

    Name: VS9.jpg

Size: 73.2 KB

I'm tweaking the colors but you get the idea.

    Hats off to both Mike's.

Now if you can just figure out a way for all of the dreamers to visualize how they will pay for a pair of his splendid rump gloves.

Convert all of the looky-loos into buyers!
