    Tonizzos,

would you be able to add a photo of the fat end of the door tops, as well as a measurement of the thickness? there have been several threads about "correct" door tops/garnish rails. yours appear to be either '67 or '68, but the photos aren't clear. '68 door tops/garnish rails are alleged to be 1-year only.

it would appear that the knee pad wold be correct for either '67 or '68.

    thank you.

In 1968 the cars were required to have many more safety features. Everything near the drivers head must be padded so you would not hurt your head in a crash - dash, door tops, horn button, head rests, all dash knobs, turn signal/washer switch, ash tray, break away rear view mirror, etc

The 68 door tops are 1 year only, similar construction to LWB door tops but different shape, thickness.

The 65-67 door tops as for sale in this ad are metal frame with vinyl covering, no thick padding.

ok, thanks .... as i am restoring a 68 model.... what would be the thickness of a 68 door top? and the frame would not be in metal right?
