    Smile WTB: 1976 Porsche 911 - REG PAY120R

All the search info in one post!

I had posted earlier about matching the engine to the VIN. Thanks to the awesome Early 911S members I now have the VIN.

So now all I need to do is find the car!

Help... I'm searching for my late Grandpa's car. Hopefully I can locate and restore it to it's original state.
    Thanks

Minerva Blue Porsche 911 2.7 Coupe (RHD)
    Registration: PAY120R
    VIN: 9116301721
    Engine No.: 6362727
    Original Colour 304 Minerva Blue
Possibly in the Hendon North West London

I'm happy to report I have spoken to the current owner, we had a great chat and I'm looking forward to meeting him and PAY120R in person in the near future.

He sent me some recent pictures (attached)

Dumb question...was this car back-dated? A '76 without impact bumpers? (I guess that's two questions)

Correct... the current owner said the car was a complete mess when he got it appox. 10 years ago, so he backdated it.

Awesome story! Have to say it looks fantastic, it's rare to see a backdate done so faithfully and not just another RS replica.
Minerva blue is an awesome color but the repaint looks more like LWB metallic blue to me. Stunner.

Hope it works its way back into your family...
