Great info. Thanks. I knew nothing about the dealership or the build time. I will have a build sheet if it exists or a Kardex shortly to go with it.
Another trivia fact: Jack Ryan (the R in RBM) drove this car below to a win at Daytona...the first ever win for a 911 in competition.
RBM is still around in Atlanta btw. Selling Mercedes.

Please post the COA/kardex when you get it although I could write it up for you from the window sticker.

Back to your FS thread now...

Funny, i live right behind there off Pharr Road and didn't know it used to be RBM. The Jack Ryan 911 is now at the Collier Museum in Naples which recently re-opened to the public.

Original owner traded in a '69 912 Targa for this car. Two new cars in one year.

    Hi Chris,

    Great color!

Can you please post a few nice finished pics of your car? Is it finished or needs finishing? Your ads description says a lot but the few pics you posted looks to be getting finished. Your price should reflect a perfect presentation. Even if only a few great pics. This is the S Registry and we try to post better pics and descriptions than 'other' Porsche forums/sites. Thank again if you can.

    Best!

    Beautiful car.

An interesting note for the historians and VIN trackers:
The 912 Targa used as trade in for this car back in 1969 (129010575, see Buyer's Order pic on first page of thread), was for sale on eBay this past January.

is there, or can we, create a thread by year with just cars going through restoration process. I am about to start on my 67 S and it would be helpful to have a thread where I can compare what I am doing to similar cars.

I second that motion. I'm currently working on a '69S and going to be starting on a '71S in a few months. You can't imagine how much stuff I've tried looking up for the '69... to get things "just right". I think I've spent more time searching for info, than working on the car. lol
Hard to find parts (or parts I've had to wait for for a month or more) I simply ordered two of them... knowing that I'd need them for the '71 eventually. It would be so nice to go straight to a '71S rebuild thread. Or a '69S rebuild thread and see what info. guys could share. I've taken many many photos of the build process of this '69 and wouldn't mind sharing to help others. ;o) I even have some video.. which I will eventually post to youtube once the car is finished. That could be posted to the '69S rebuild thread (if it eventually is created). ;o)
