    73 ? Oil tanks.

I have a couple of what i believe to be 73- on oil tanks. One is copper plated whilst the other seems to be stainless steel. One has the sender unit. Got these in a parts buy but i have no use for them. Both tanks are in excellent shape with no signs of corrosion or dents etc.

£250.00 inc postage from the UK.

Just sent you P/M. Need confirmation that this will work for a '73E.

These are actually 1974 on tanks. The 1973 still has the console. I believe they will work for a 1973, however. I have a real 1973 one year only tank if someone wants it. Peter pgeorge911@aol.com

These should probably be referred to as Late 1973 on oil tanks, the link will provide some information. It will work in earlier 1973 cars though. And yes, there is a 1973 only tank with separate console. GLWS.

There is a lot of confusion about 1973 oil tanks and you would not want someone restoring a 1973 911E or S to use the wrong oil tank. I first bought the later 74-on tank before finally finding a real, good 1973 oil tank for an S restoration. There is considerable confusion about these tanks. For someone who does not care about maintaining originality your still in business.
I have no intention of stealing your sale and apologize if I caused you problems. I do not like the misinformation which is rampant on these sites. Peter

I thought it was 72 that was a one year only tank?
