    As has been frequently discussed on the early 911 boards, this saves you from tearing the stock jack receivers in your 911 through using the stock jack. Lightweight, and works perfectly for emergency roadside repair (i.e.: flat tires). I have one in my early Beetle and early 911, and they work great.

    Best of all, lightweight aluminum (versus other boat anchors)! In my 911 I keep it neatly tucked next to the spare tire, under the carpet so you can’t see it. In my Beetle I keep it strapped to inside of the rim of the spare tire.

    I got a good deal, but had to buy 3, and I only needed 2. Selling for what I paid for it, only $19.

    Shipping in the U.S. via USPS Priority Mail is $17.90.

    Please note that it DOES NOT include the jack handle, but you can use a screwdriver (or handle from another scissor jack) as a substitute.

    does that nubbin on the top cause any problems? or is there something that should fit into it to better stabilize the car?

    I routed out a 6" block of 2x4 to fit over the nubbin...works perfectly. BTW...great price on this one!

    You can leave it, do what Frank says above, or grind it down. I would leave the nub, take a hockey puck with the center cut out to match the nub, and place (or epoxy) it on top. Very Canadian That way you also have a sacrificial protection pad on top to protect the chassis.

    I feel much more confident driving my old cars now, fearing a flat and the potential damage to the jack points.

    Same jack as on my 964. The nub fits into the jacking pad on the car.
