    185/70VR15 CN36 OE 911 tyres

CN36.gifI am sorry if you want to chuck this off the site as a commercial posting. It is a fair enough However I thought you migh be interested in the reproduction of one of the original early 911 tyres the 185/70VR15 Cinturato CN36. this is being made by Pirelli. https://www.borrani.com/en/pirelli-t...cinturato.html

I wonder if anyone could post some pictures of 911 on these tyres?

    This is a picture

YESS I am glad these are finally available, CN36 were originally equipped on 1970 911 cars of which I am restoring a few. I have Michelin XWX from Longstone on 2 73 911s here in my shop and they are great.

I was concerned that the film might make us look a bit too corporate, instead of car enthuisiasts.

this is another one of my films about testing snow studs in cross ply tyres using my racing car, which is related to Porsche in a distant way. i wonder if you know the connection?

The more we can be informed about what tires are available for our cars the better!

On another thread it is stated that 1973 was when the CN36 was introduced on the 911.

When was the CN36 first produced and when did it become original equipment for the 911?

I am not old enough to remember as I was born in the mid 70s, I go by what I have seen in old literature and what experienced people tell me, I know that reading threads will give you many conflicting answers, would love to see some factual research that says what and when was available

The first time I saw the cn36 was in an RS and they were interchangeable with the Michelin XWX from the factory. The first set I bought was in 74 when my crappy factory fitted Dunlops failed.
Before the cn36 the options were Dunlops, XWX and Continentals.
They continued to use the cn36 on the 74 RS until the P7 came out for the Turbo.
