    FS: 10,000 RPM Tach

    SOLD

I have a 10,000 RPM Tach that came off a 67S I had 20+ years ago. It worked when I removed it in the mid 90's. There is some dust on the inside of the lens. There are no part numbers on the tach. It looks identical to the 901 741 302 06 used on the 911R. Based on information that referenced by 2 fellow Early S guys the tach was at some point many years ago a conversion. As stated on a previous post that I was referred to, there is nothing wrong with the conversions they just are not the factory original which is identified by 30,000imp rather than 24,000imp stamped on the back side.

Price is reduced to $450.00 shipped in the US only.

looks like a converted 8k tach
    a 10k tach should read 12V/30000imp

Had an email from a fellow Early S guy who sold one like mine back in October 2014.
He thought based on what his went for I was priced a little high. I will reduce the price to $700.00 Shipped to the US.

    In reference to Moitl's comment.
As stated above another 10,000RPM Tach was sold previously it had the same date code 3.70 and 12V/24000 imp. His had the part number which I listed above 901 741 302 06.
I do not believe my tach is a converted tach based on the information that is available.

    David,

It's 3 imp per max RPM. It would need to say 30000 imp on the can to be an original 10k tach.

Carl, thanks for your reply. So it appears that my tach and the one that sold back in October with the same 3.70 date were converted at some point in time (which I did not know until putting it up for sale and getting comments from you guys). So the next question is what fair price should I sell it for? Hopefully no less than $550. or $600.00

Thanks for your posting on the tach. That confirms the imp numbers. Looks like it is a conversion or repo. Based on this information, I will reduce the price to $450.00 shipped in the US. That should be below the numbers quoted in the thread you posted.
