    Wevo 901 shifter

If you have the 901 Wevo shifter in your car could you tell me how you like it? I really like the 915 one but I've never used the 901 one they sell that goes into the 915 housing. It looks like it would be great. Let me know. Thanks, -Scott

I use the JWest RennShifter on my 901 and absolutely adore it. Actually I enjoy my 901 gearbox more than any other as it has a wonderfully sweet personality!

I chose the RennShifter over the Wevo shifter because it comes plug and play, without the need of a 915 shifter housing.
    Keep up the speed!

Do you have a picture of how it looks like in your car?

No, it is an OEM 915 boot. You need to cut a slot into it for the reverse lock-out. I had the shiftknob locally made be a wood artisan, using old wood, since the JWest "rose wood"-knob was not very nice. However, I used the thread from that knob for my custom knob.

    Anatol,

How does the RennShifter from JWest work in the 901 w a dogleg 1st? Also, what did you do about the heater lever and cable at the front of the stock shifter?

    Hi Mark,
the shifter is perfectly adapted to the 901 shiftpattern with the switchable lock-out for reverse preventing expensive errors at speed. As my car is from 1968, it does not have the heater lever in front of the shifter but next to the handbrake lever.
Meanwhile I have switched to the long shifter stick and added a 917 knob making it my favorite gearbox of all!
    Keep up the speed!

That sounds interesting. How does the long stick look? Can you post a pic? Why did you switch to long stick?

Mark, the long stick gives you approx. an additional 1,5cm, putting 4th gear at an easier reach. It looks the same like the standard length.
