    FS: Reproduction Brass Ignition Bezels

    Hello everyone!

A metal fabricator I've worked with helped me reproduce a brass ignition bezel for my '66. Instead of making just one for my own ignition switch, they produced a total of seven for me. So, I am selling the remaining six of them. A couple of notes:

    1) These are not 100% accurate, as we worked with a 356 bezel and my ignition switch as templates. They are very good however! Please see the pictures. Each bezel has been verified on my switch for fit.

    2) My ignition switch is 901.613.101.11, and I do not know if these bezels will fit other ignition switches. The 356 bezel I have fits perfectly on my switch.

    3) These are made out of solid brass, round stock, milled on a professional CNC lathe. Each piece is identical to the others.

    4) Each bezel has two small indents, 90 degrees from each other; no set screws are used.

The pictures only show four of the brass bezels, to show the indents and threading.

Price is US$85.00 plus shipping. One per customer, please.

    Thanks for looking!

Those look like nice reproductions. But wouldn't 302340 have come with the large plastic bezel? 302316 has the larger bezel.

Exactly what I was thinking, wouldn't this be correct for an earlier car?

The brass bezel were actually for early cars (64/65 model year) and only were used with the locking ignition column switch that was only seen on Euro delivery cars if I'm not mistaken. The threading for the bezel was larger in diameter than the non locking ignition switch and a black Bakelite bezel was used for those cars.

Here is an original brass bezel and the locking ignition switch that it goes with.

were all locking ignition switches spade connector or the early one's bullets?

They were all spade connectors for the locking ignition switches. I now have one of each type and I am wondering which one to use? I understand that you can install a locking ignition switch into a car that originally came with the bullet connector non locking type. I am missing my Bakelite bezel though for my non locking original switch.
