    Front bumper - putting a 68 bumper onto a 69 911

    hi, a question.
I have (i) a 69 LWB 911 with an old fibreglass S style number that I want to take off , and (ii) a 68 SWB bumper that i want to attach.
Obviously in the parts manual i can see the different fittings between the 68 and later … (and i've taken off the bumper weights !! … and have early fog lights to attach) … but can I ask:
    - do i just need to buy the 69 fittings ?
    - or is this more involved (cutting/welding etc) ?
    Cheers Paul

My memory is that the mounting holes in the LWB bumper are vertical, and those on the SWB bumper are horizontal, should be obvious when the two bumpers are compared. You'll need to use the LWB brackets so they will attach properly to the body, then figure out the bumper part.
