Thread: Correct LWB tail light lens ?

Correct LWB tail light lens ?

I've seen FS 3 kinds of Tail light lenses for LWB cars, regardless of Euro/US colors.
The edge/surround of the lense is either black, silver, or non existent (same color as the lens).
Which is correct for a 69-70-71-72-73 please ? (I only care about 69+72 but might as well be thorough ;-)

    Thanks !
    Greg.

'69 to '72 used the silver trimmed lenses and then in '73 they used the black trimmed lenses. I've never seen the nonexistent same color bordered lenses. I don't think those are correct for anything.

Great, thanks ! My wife's 69 has the borderless ones and they are heinous, not just the border but the color, the red is almost purple. Thanks for confirming, now I know my 72 is correct and the 69 should have the same.

The only borderless lens that I have seen was some black trim ones that had the black flake off.

You are probably right harvey. They are completely borderless (well, the border is neither silver nor black but same as the rest of the lens) and that's what i inherited on that car. But they might be SWB ones for all I know, I didn't buy them..and the red is too purple for my tastes. Thanks all, back to silver it is !
