That was a wild finish. 7 different makes in the first 7! Other than the ridiculous amount of time spent running under yellow it was a great race, but they need to figure out a way to move cars off track quicker. I didn't really understand the class breakdowns (AP,AA) and why they were running 997 RSRs instead of the latest spec 991s? Hopefully Porsche will bring the latest spec factory cars over next year after getting dusted this year. The top 911was the one they put Patrick Long into (#12), but it could do no better than 11th, two laps down. The older RSRs were clearly much slower than the rest of the cars in that class.

AA = A class, Amateur driver (winner)
AP = A class, Professional driver

GT3 class here is always a season behind Europe - we won't see the 997s this year.

Bathurst is a rural residential road for about 355 days a year, the size/elevation/nature means getting stranded cars up the top of the mountain is not easy or quick. Not sure how it could be remedied. But you're right Jim, the long periods under yellow were a pain in the @rse.
