    LongRanger,

In the hope it will help address the issue you have raised, here is a short P-bio.

My membership in the PCA started shortly after buying the car on a lark in 1995. Along the subsequent journey, I've met many fine people and enjoyed a number of Porsche models at different times ... '71 911S, '72 914, '91 911 Turbo, 944 Turbo, and '05 Carrera S. During those good times, I also helped get PorscheList (now RennList) started back in 1998, and became a member of the Early S Registry soon after discovering it in 2002. I was very active in the Longhorn region (San Antonio, Texas) for about 5 years before moving to Austin. Then I was somewhat active in the Hill Country Region (Austin, TX) for a couple years before moving to Maryland. Since moving to Maryland, life has gotten in the way of being very active here other than the occasional club race (typically Texas World Speedway, New Orleans or Leguna Seca). But there is a 20 year trail of people who know the car and are acquainted with me. I would expect any serious buyer to ask for reference in the Porsche community and I'll be happy to do so. My guess is that I'll be able to provide references that can adequately vouch that the car and I have been around and involved for decades. For example, I can still remember the pained look from him that came immediately after telling Ed (and Jan) Mayo of my plan to take the '71 S club racing ... although I doubt he remembers that moment as crisply as me. Ed (Mayo Performance, Panorama technical committee, etc.) forecasted the valuation of these early 911's 12+ years ago!
