    Front corner weights

    Hello,

    Do you know if the (early) 1968 911S had these or not?

    Yes. I have a early 68S that has the weights. I believe all the SWB 911's had the front bumper weights.

    Yes they were also on a 1967S I had. I believe all SWB 911 had them. Porsche went to two batteries in the front for ballast, not cranking amps to take the place of the cast iron. That coupled with the lengthened wheelbase eliminated the need for the bumper weights.

    PET shows these "reinforcements" (901.505.911.20 left and 901.505.912.20 right) started with chassis # 301340 (April-May 1965) and were used on all cars from that chassis through the end of the 1968 model year.
