Looking For A Pretty Picture (engine electrical SWB)

    Good morning.

I'm looking for a nice detailed photo of a "combed out" engine electrical panel from a SWB 911.

Here's one I found but it's not giving up all of the details.

Specifically I'd like to see what's in the "buss" area left lower foreground but happy to see one in all it's glory too!

    Thanks,

    Tom

I will send you one if you can point out to me the seven things wrong with Ruf's car in that photo (which I took at 2005 Parade).

John, you know I love a challenge!!
coil sticker is at wrong end of coil
    defrost tube should be orange
coil wire attachments should have been post and nut in that era
regulator cover wouldn't have that decal
and you're probably going to say it is the wrong coil (since I know you've memorized all 26,000 coil numbers!!)
no schematic on by-pass relay cover
engine compartment seal not tucked properly in the corner

    how did I do???

I just happened to have a short wheelbase [1965] 911 handy:

A previous owner installed a Permatune and probably disconnected the starting relay. Other than that it should be fairly original. Is this the area you wanted to see?

regulator cover wouldn't have that decal correct, that is a 912 sticker and the VR is wrong besides

no schematic on by-pass relay cover yes, the ballast resistor relay has been repainted without the correct logo, and it's the wrong gloss besides
engine compartment seal not tucked properly in the corner yep and I bet there is some oil hiding up in there

    how did I do???
    100% as expected Ed!

Bonus points: Swaging on Banjo fittings isn't right. It's smart, but that's not what the Factory did. And I think that is a Mercedes Beru ballast resistor, not a Porsche one.

Tom: Ed has done you a solid. Check your inbox for a fully copyrighted image from Monterey that I think you will be happy with.

Hope this helps.....no seven-step critique needed (I'm sure there's more than that), although clearly I've added an Pertronix.

You earn bonus points for the correct coil decal :-)
