FS: 87.5mm Mahle Racing Pistons and Cylinders 10.3:1

For sale is one set of factory 87.5mm Mahle racing pistons and cylinders, 10.3:1 compression ratio. These were removed from a Ritchie Ginther racing engine, and were re-lined (Nicasil) and bored to the original pistons by Ollie’s of Santa Ana, CA approximately 10 years ago. They have been stored in a dry, climate controlled environment since. The number 6 piston has had some minor contact by an exhaust valve and some small debris at some point in time, all of which was checked when the cylinders were re-Nicasiled. The number 6 cylinder has three lower fins broken, as seen in the photos, with no damage to the cylinder or the cylinder wall.

Our customer purchased these pistons and cylinders for a 2.5L ST project build back in 2005 from Armando Serrano. Included in the photos is a copy of the dyno sheet from Bill Yates (dated 11/4/71). The dyno sheet results: 180 ft-lbs torque at 6,000 rpm and 244 bhp at 7,500 rpm.

Asking $3200.00 or best offer plus shipping. Located in Allentown, PA 18109. Please contact me at speccar@verizon.net or 610-437-9333 with any questions.

We also have for sale a set of factory original ST cylinder heads that were a part of the same build and completely rebuilt by Ollie’s. Link here: http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...Cylinder-Heads

Hi Mark, when you get a chance can you please confirm that what I sold Paul back in 2005 were in fact the "87.5mm" and not the slightly smaller "86.7mm" MAHLE piston set? At that time, I had both sets of 911 ST MAHLE pistons and can't find my notes easily to verify.

    Thanks!

    Armando,

Yes, these are the short-stroke 87.49mm pistons and cylinders.

    Thank you,
    Mark

Hello again Mark, thank you for the swift reply. I'll take these also, they should stay with the ST heads and glad to see that happen. Armando
