    Louis Galanos...aka..."Smuckatelli"...

Cold ones?...Yes, absolutely...I just realized he has desriptions to them as well...re the Sebring pic'..."Fifth is the Alfa Romeo T33/3 of Nanni Galli"...Funny, he was invited and drove "his" old war-horse Alfa GTA "wide body", I believe, up in M-rey this past August 2014...

Amazing photo from the Golden Age of Endurance Racing

This is a Sebring Raceway photo showing the starting grid at Sebring in 1971. In this photo are some of the best endurance race cars and drivers ever to race at Sebring. First on the grid is the Penske Ferrari 512M with Mark Dononue at the wheel. Second on the grid is the Ferrari 312PB of Mario Andretti. Third on the grid is Pedro Rodriguez in a Gulf Porsche 917K. Fourth is the eventual winning Martini & Rossi Porsche 917K with Vic Elford at the wheel. Fifth is the Alfa Romeo T33/3 of Nanni Galli. Sixth is another Gulf Porsche 917K driven by Jo Siffert. It was apparent during practice that there was no love lost between Rodriguez and Donohue. During the race they managed to make hard contact and when Donohue entered the pits for repairs he claimed that Rodriguez hit him on purpose. A protest was filed but nothing came of it. Penske was seriously pissed with Donohue for getting into this trouble because he had warned Donohue to stay away from "that little Mexican." Penske surprised everyone when he used foul language at Donohue. Penske was not known for such outbursts.
