Hi Paul, did you find a right side Solex Air Cleaner. If not, I have one. Likely early 1965 manufacture.

Can Solex Air Cleaners be installed over Weber's without having to modify the Solex air boxes?

YES, It`s the aluminum plate that connects the air box to the carburetors that has to be modified / adapted to the Webers. I`m sure there is more than actually meets the eye ( height/ width etc. compared to the Solex) , but it is doable.......and looks cool &..................................... EXPENSIVE
Actually, the Solex aluminum plates should not be hacked. New ones made to order for the Weber carbs would be the way to go!

I have neither right now. Currently running Webers so will just look for an early Weber air box and be good. If I find Solex air box it would be good for future resto, but having discussed the challenges of keeping Solexes running well, this is not likely to happen anytime soon. Webers work better. If anyone HS an early Weber air filter setup they would sell, please let me know. Thx, Mark. And Happy New Year to all!
