A-arm and green finish on window regulator questions

These are pictures of parts from a 69E. Has anyone seen a slit on a a-arm like this before? Is this a comfort E a-arm thing? I just pulled a cap off of one of the a-arm's and there is a torsion bar in there. I haven't pulled it out yet. I thought E's didn't have front torsion bars.

Does anyone know how to replicate the greenish color on the window winders? It looks close to the primer that was sprayed on the front and rear suspension while this car was in storage. I don't know what it is.

Yes, I have seen A-arms like that. Yes they had torsion bars. The green color on the regulators is age, primer or patina. I beadblast and coat with gibbs oil, that seems to be pretty close to original.

    Thank you both.
I wonder why they built these with that opening. It seems it would allow grit to get inside the a- arms. It also seems to be in the wrong place to act as a drain. I wonder if it should be left as is or welded closed.
This car came with S brakes also. I'm not sure if 69E's came with them standard or it was a option. They will be sent to Eric in Utah soon.

69 E's came with hydro pneumatic shocks, obviously up dated with torsion bars long ago. I don't know what the green plating is called, but is on all window regulators. maybe some kind of phosphate bath, maybe similar in color to green coating applied to aluminum aircraft parts.
