    FS: @flatsixes.com - 914/6 Heat Exchangers

Mark Taylor at Stoddard told me about these but this is the 1st sighting for me. They (Stoddard) are doing an oil tank and lines as well for those folks wanting to do a "6 conversion" without "Jesse James" being involved. FWIW, Jesse used a gun. :roll eyes:

They are to be commended; that is a daring effort.

Can't imagine lucritive ROI will be seen in my lifetime.

It DOES take some of the celebrating out of owning original ones...

Brand new oil tanks are available from Porsche. $1200 or so which, to be honest, is pretty reasonable. The oil lines are also (mostly) available through Porsche, Patrick Motorsports, or other industrious independents.

The only NLA part that we have had to make in the past is the thin, threaded fitting nut that holds the tank into the body.

And, I believe Dansk has the exchangers available once again ... although I'm not sure of the price, which puts your Jesse James reference well into the realm of possibility.

**EDIT: I finally opened the link you posted (after I wrote the above), but Stoddard is dreaming if they think they're the only ones with access to the catalog. My local warehouses (yes, both of them) have offered the entire catalog two me ... 6 months ago.

Lastly, I just bought a set of 914/6 headers from GT-Racing who recently bought the jigs and stuff from the European Headers by George estate. They were reasonably priced and heat is for pussies.

Egg on my face. Congrats on stepping up the game. The parts look quite nice ... how's fitment and performance? On par with original?
