    "Daily Driver" condition

I love this expression. Daily driver condition.

I drive my 1966 912 every day, and I am very proud of that fact (but it's a rag -- a rag with a completely overhauled drive train and interior, but a rag nonetheless).

However, when I see a non-restored, numbers matching, basically rust free, long-hood 911 selling for $160,000+ described as being in "daily driver" condition I have to chuckle a bit. Surely we can come up with a better term for cars that will certainly never be driven on a daily basis.

BTW, I'm baiting all of you and I want you to prove me wrong with your "daily driven" examples. So bring it on. :-)

wow... no daily driven long hoods? I find this very shocking. Or maybe no one cares and I should take this discussion to the 912 forum where people drive more than collect (dust).

Formally requesting pic of the '66 911. Not because it's a 911 but because it's black. Love me some black SWBs.

PS Respect for stirring the pot.

So observant DM. It's actually registered at my family place in MD. Less hassle and less crap on your windshield.

I drive my POS daily. The past month has been tough starting and driving around, with no heat, in sub-freezing temp and icy conditions, in the morning. But I forget all about that when she's all warmed up and cruising down road. I feel for the folks in the NE and look forward to Spring again.
